In Antwerp in Belgium, for example, is one of the Group's four major production facilities for Makrolon®. It is also at Antwerp that the new melt polycarbonate process has been implemented. This is a faster, more environmentally friendly production method that provides an even greater guarantee of quality and reliability. Bayer operates a total of two production sites in Belgium that employee 1,120 people.
