Bayer One of Colombia’s Most Attractive Employers
Bogotá, June 2010. Bayer in Colombia is one of the country’s most attrative employers: A study published by the MERCO consultancy put Bayer in 20th place among the top 100 employers. The company was further honored with third place in the category human resources management and fifth place for its attractiveness to recent business school graduates.
Study Published by MERCO Consultancy “These results show that the efforts we have been investing towards brand
reputation, human resources and corporate social responsibility with key opinion leaders and
stakeholders are paying off” said Martha Helena Olano, Head of Human Resources in Columbia. Bayer
has 1,200 employees in the country, and counts two production plants: one for Consumer Care in Cali
and one for Bayer CropScience in Barranquilla.
MERCO is a leading consultancy in the area of reputation measurement in the Hispanic world.
The MERCO study is the only survey that measures corporate reputation in Colombia. It surveys
public opinion leaders, companies and representatives of government, associations and
non-governmental organizations (NGOs). It was conducted for the first time this year in Colombia.
