Bayer Inaugurates New Office in Cambodia
Phnom Penh, February 2010. Clear commitment to the
country: Bayer in Cambodia has laid an important milestone with an official inauguration ceremony
of its new office located in the heart of Phnom Penh. H.E. Mam Bunheng, Minister of Health in the
Royal Government of Cambodia presided over the ceremony, where he was joined by German Ambassador
Frank Marcus Mann, Dominikus von Pescatore, Senior Bayer Representative for North ASEAN, as well as
senior executives from Bayer and the pharmaceutical industry.
Commitment to North Asean Region
Muneeb ur Rehman, Director of Bayer Cambodia, explained the new offices’ significance: “These
facilities reflect Bayer’s commitment to the North ASEAN region as one of Asia-Pacific’s emerging
markets. Furthermore, having all three subgroups under one roof brings excellent opportunity to
leverage synergies.” Von Pescatore added that Bayer will now also be in a better position to
develop a more visible image in the country, “as a good corporate citizen and important business
partner.”
“We are confident that our customers recognize Bayer as one of the top international
companies in Cambodia with a sustainable and growing business model providing excellent goods and
services,” concluded Rehman.
