Fourth Year on Working Mother Magazine's Top 100 List

Bayer Honored Again as a Top Company for Working Mothers
Pittsburgh.  Bayer Corporation has been recognized for the fourth time by Working Mother magazine as one of the 100 best companies across the nation for working mothers. The magazine’s complete list of Best Companies appears in its October 2006 issue.

“To once again be named to the “Working Mother 100 Best” list is an honor, especially as the standards of excellence rise each year,” said Dr. Attila Molnar, President and CEO of Bayer Corporation. “Working mothers – and fathers – are truly valued at Bayer. We are committed to helping our employees achieve the necessary and vital balance between their professional and personal lives.”

Bayer’s best practices were solicited from across the sites and compiled for the winning submission. Bayer scored high in four of the nine categories – two categories on child care, family friendly programs and company culture - and above average in the best practices category. Adoption assistance, dependent day care, job sharing, educational assistance, telecommuting, flexible schedules and a comprehensive Employee Assistance Program are some of the WorkLife opportunities within Bayer that attract employees to the company.
