Bioinformatics Scientist / Breeding Support (m/f)

Job Description
Member of the BioInformation department, you will coordinate bioinformatics projects. In association with our researchers and breeders, you will design and set up a new Molecular Breeding support platform within BioScience. The BioInformation department provides a competitive customer-oriented working environment and dedicated services to R&D programs. You will actively participate to the definition of new approaches for the implementation of new technologies. You will have frequent interactions with bioinformatics competences, scientists and breeders throughout the R&D of BioScience. You will report to the BioAnalysis Services Team Leader and functionally report to the BioInformation Manager.

Profile
- You have a PhD degree
- You have experience in multiple research fields related to plant biotechnologies and breeding (molecular genetics, marker technologies, genome engineering, plant breeding)
- You have knowledge in BioInformatics / BioAnalysis (sequence analysis, genomic annotation and genetic mapping)
- You have competencies in statistics
- You have basis knowledge of programming languages and web technologies (Perl, PHP, HTML)
- You are able to assimilate novel R&D approaches and propose initiatives for new innovations and diversifications
- You have a pro-active mindset and communication
- You have experience in project management
- Knowledge of English, both written and spoken.
