"Fortune" Publishes Rankings
Bayer improved its ranking by one place compared to last year. This gave it its best result for
eleven years and makes Bayer the third-most-admired company in its sector after BASF and DuPont.
The assessment criteria where Bayer achieved the biggest improvements were financial soundness,
social responsibility, and product and service quality.
"We're very pleased with this result. It represents high recognition for the work of our
employees worldwide and backs up our strategy of sharpening the focus on brand value," said Michael
Schade, Head of Communications at Bayer AG.
The Fortune survey provides one of the most important global corporate rankings. Each year
several thousand senior executives, other managers and analysts rate numerous companies on the
basis of selected criteria.
